For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life  (John 3:16)

A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS

Who is JESUS?

Is JESUS a Son of God?

Did JESUS die?

Why did JESUS die?

Did HE have to die?

What is sin?

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Have you heard the term “Trinity”? The Bible describes the one God, who exists eternally and consists of equal and integrated personalities or images. These are the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. According to Bible Jesus is the second personality of the Trinity – the Son.

WHO IS JESUS?

When we make the decision to give our life to Jesus and start building personal relationship with Him, the first important thing to start with is to understand who Jesus Christ is. What does the Bible say on this point?

‘The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. ‘ (Colossians 1:15, NIV).

One can only imagine what the inhabitants of the place where Jesus showed, especially religious ones and the teachers of the law, said about Him, made assumptions and argued about His teaching. Wherever Jesus came, no sooner He did something than the whole city raised an uproar over it.

When Jesus quietened the storm, the disciples wondered: ‘The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!” (Matthew 8:27, NIV).

Jesus couldn’t be compared to anybody. We always try to draw a parallel between public figures and those historical personalities who they are like. The reason is, we like classify everything.

For instance, people say: one is as talented as Winston Churchill; one is as insightful as John Kennedy: one is as selfless as Mother Teresa; one is as wise as Gandhi…

Nevertheless, Jesus cannot be compared to any historical figure.

At the same time, the question as to essence of Jesus is the most important of all those questions you and I will ever have to answer.

Jesus said in John 10:10: “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (NIV).

The human nature of Christ gives us confidence

It’s quite obvious that the divine nature of Christ gives us strength and confidence. He is almighty, omniscient and omnipresent. All the power in heaven and on earth is given to Him. But we miss the fact that the human nature of Christ gives us no less confidence than His divine nature.

First of all, the fact that Christ became a human being was not the last-ditch method, a sort of the last way for God to save the humanity.

The human is created after the image of God and Jesus Christ represents this image, which is brought to perfection. That is to say, His human nature conveys perfect and sovereign God’s will.

His human nature allows us to become firmly established as human beings and confirms that God has a plan for the humanity.

Moreover, His perfect human nature shows us our true potential!!! You can’t say: “I’m just a human”, or “They are just people”. Jesus demonstrated an amazing potential of the human nature brought to perfection. And there is more: He gave us His Spirit to help us become like He is.

SALVATION

Having read all mention above, you may have a question: “What shall I do get salvation?” The same thing Paul was asked by a screw. The answer was pretty simple: “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household” (Acts 16:30 – 31, NIV).But how? Jesus answered this question in John 14:6. “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”. (John 14:6, NIV). We have to believe that “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13, NIV).
